Captain Gary Force
Capt. Force enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduating high school 1967. As a result of his being a CAP cadet for the prior 2 years his enlistment rank was Airman 2nd Class. He attended basic training at Amarillo AFB, Texas. He was selected for Advanced Radar & Ground Control Approach (GCA) Technician and was stationed at Kessler AFB, Mississippi for training. After completing training, he was stationed to RAF Weathersfield, England and RAF Mildenhall, England until 1972. In 1973 he returned to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and joined the USAF ROTC. After graduating he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF. He as assigned to Navigation School Mather AFB, California, and advanced training as an Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) assigned to the Strategic Air Command (SAC) where he crewed as an EWO on B-52D, G & H models. Duty assignments include, Carswell AFB, Tx, Anderson AFB, Guam & Mather AFB, Ca. In 1999 at the request of CAP Senior Member Jay Harding Capt. Force accept the position of Vice Commander where under SM Harding leadership formed the Granbury 441st Squadron. He rejoined the 441st in September 2020 He is currently serving as the 441st Communications ,Public Officer Affairs Officer and Webmaster.
