Cadet Great Start

The Great Start Program is a program meant to give children between the ages of 12-18 a chance to join the Civil Air Patrol and become cadet members. To learn more about the Civil Air Patrol cadet program and its mission, go to gocivilairpatrol.com for more information.

 

  • Description: The Great Start Program is a five-week-long program that will jump-start prospective cadet members into the Civil Air Patrol organization. The next go-around for Great Start will begin on the 15th of April at 6:15.

  • Location: The Granbury Composite Squadron meets at the Christian Services Center in Granbury, TX every Monday night from 6:15 to 8:45 pm. The address for the Christian Services Center is 1905 W Pearl St, Granbury, TX 76048. 

  • Program content: The program will cover the basics of drill, military customs and courtesies, and all the requirements necessary to achieve the rank of cadet airman.

  • Commitment: Any cadets who join the Great Start Program must attend the first three Monday meetings, after this they are allowed to miss only one of the two remaining meetings or they will not complete the program.
