Veteran's Day 2021
by Capt Gary Force
This year the 441st was asked to participate the the Granbury Veteran's Day celebration with a recruitment booth and support the grounds staff in setting up vendor booths and other tasks. We didn't have a float in the parade this year but our cadets help out organizers directing parking of parade vehicles for display after the parade. If you where not able to attend you missed out on seeing some amazing sport cars & jeeps And foremost meeting some terrific veterans. Next year we will plan on making CAP float for the parade. Although public turn out was smaller than expected there was a number of veterans from WWII, Vietnam & the Gulf Wars and all the other place history tends to overlook. We took the opportunity to have a cadet introduce themselves and speak with these veterans. Several greatly enjoyed having their picture taken with the cadets. I personally had several comments of appreciation for our cadets work, attitude and taking the time to talk with the veterans. Their actions were most appreciated.
The 441st looks forward to participating again next year and to all the veterans everywhere "We sincerely thank you for you amazing service to our country and community" and wish you the best of health and we look forward to seeing you next year.
